- “I am very happy with the item. I am not very knowledgeable about these products but I did not need to do anything to set it up – literally plug and play. It correctly detects Gigabit and other lower speed devices (shows a green light for Gigabit and yellow for 10 MBPS LAN speed devices) so I ASSUME that it will permit high speed transfers between various devices. I am using it to connect a WD My Cloud with my Laptops and mobile phone. Unfortunately only the cloud device is a Gigabit device so I cannot verify Gigabit speeds but I get 10-11.5 MBPS transfer speeds which is the maximum for the rest of the devices in my home LAN. I connect my laptop and the cloud backup to the switch and I connect the switch to my WiFi Router. My tablet and phone are also able to correctly identify the cloud device over WiFi so this meets my requirement”
