WHAT TO EXPERTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS PROCESSOR?
As per expert opinions
- Reddit: “At this moment, on a core-to-core comparison, Intel”s 12th generation is beating the Zen3-based Ryzen 5000-series ones by about 10% (or a little less). Intel’s efficiency cores are making this slight advantage somewhat larger. So a 6 “p-core” / no “e-core” i5-12400 is slightly faster than the comperable Ryzen 5 5600, whereas the 6 “p-core” + 4 “e-core” i5-12600K is really about as fast as the 8 “p-core” Ryzen 7 5800X for most tasks.”
- Custom PC “It was tit for tat with the AMD CPU in games, with the Core i5-12400F largely matching it in Dirt 5 and Far Cry 6, while the Core i5-12600K offered higher frame rates in both titles. This was at 1080p with a reasonably powerful RTX 3070 GPU though – there will be less of a difference at higher resolutions, where there’s less of a load on the CPU. Importantly, the Core i5-12400F is also leagues ahead of its predecessor, the Core i5-11400F, across the board.”
